Our facilities have 4 teams working 12-hour shifts. A &
B Teams work days from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Teams C &
D work nights from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Compensation
Signicast employees start at a very competitive wage, with
reviews at 60 and 120 days, then every eight months after
that, with the opportunity for increases at each review. In
other words, new employees have three opportunities for pay
increases within their first year of employment! Employees
are paid based on their knowledge and performance, and we
encourage cross-training to help them advance through our
strong promote-from-within policy.
Signicast works diligently to remain a world class, profitable
organization proud to share profits with employees through
cash paid "Profit Sharing Plan".
Family Matters
Signicast's family-oriented approach supports the local communities
by donating money and time to many Hartford causes such as:
Signicast Family Aquatic Center, Chandelier Ballroom, Schauer
Performing Arts Center, Relay for Life, local schools, and
the Auto Museum.
Employees' "new arrivals" are welcomed with a beautiful
baby blanket and a Signicast-logo outfit. Employees organize
and participate in Signicast-sponsored themed holiday parties
(for children of employees). Employees also plan and participate
in an annual golf outing, and every year Signicast holds the
Signicast Family Picnic and a Christmas Party, as well as
catered Christmas lunches hosted by our three actively involved
owners.
Our innovative shift schedules allow employees to work 78
fewer days per year, thus enabling them to spend more time
with their families. The night before our 10 official holidays,
we close the facility at midnight to allow our employees to
be refreshed and enjoy the holiday. In addition, employees
are free to switch workdays with another team member if they
need to schedule a day off.
Extras
In an economic environment where many manufacturers are eliminating
benefits, Signicast is adding them. For instance, we recently
added a fully equipped exercise room, which is open for our
employees and family members. And because we believe in continuing
education, we also added the "University of Signicast,"
open to employees and their spouses. Two learning centers
are staffed with part-time instructors that help develop and
improve employee's knowledge in areas from computers and math
to supervisory skills and communication. |
