Manufacturing  Technician

Job Description:  

Currently we are looking to add a highly motivated, results-oriented person to our Manufacturing Teams in Brown Deer and Hartford, WI.  The position will be on either our day shift 6 am to 6 pm or on our night shift from 6pm to 6am on a 2-2-3, 12 hour schedule. 

The ideal candidate for this position will have outstanding communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills that can thrive in a fast paced highly automated work environment.  Individuals chosen must be able to think on their feet and work effectively with co-workers. 

Starting Pay:  $12.84 per hour 

                       (7% shift premium paid for those who work night shift)

Positions:

Wax Cell Technician

Work on Wax Injection Presses, prepare Sprues to assemble parts and assemble Wax Molds.   All of these jobs require good inspection of the parts as well as manual dexterity.  Person must be quality minded and have an eye for detail.

Dip / Dewax Cell Technician

Learn to coat wax molds with ceramic material, learn to control & operate our robots for dipping molds and operate our high-pressure autoclave for wax removal.  This position requires lifting molds, which average 55 lbs.

Melt / Rough Clean Cell Technician

Work in a fast-paced, foundry environment learning to work with different metals.  Will also perform a variety of jobs throughout the melt area including: furnace operation, pouring molten metal, lifting molds up to 55 lbs., preparing ladles, using a water blast machine and removing casts from molds. 

Finishing Cell Technician

Work in sandblast and gate grind as well as visually inspecting parts and using deburring hand tools.  Skills desired are good math aptitude, mechanically inclined, hand-eye coordination and to be detail oriented.  Person must be able to work in a fast paced environment with emphasis on quality and be committed to excellence. 

 

Maintenance Technician

Job Description:  

Currently we are looking to add a highly motivated, results-oriented person to our Maintenance Team in Hartford, WI.  The position will be on either our day shift 6 am to 6 pm or on our night shift from 6pm to 6am on a 2-2-3, 12 hour schedule. 

 The ideal candidate for this position will have outstanding communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills that can thrive in a fast paced highly automated work environment.  Individuals chosen must be able to think on their feet and work effectively with co-workers.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have all-around technical knowledge of electro-mechanical maintenance activities and must have experienced in the following areas:

  • Troubleshooting electrical (480v-3 phase to control voltage, dc, electrical schematics, servo drives)
  • Troubleshooting mechanical (Alignments, gear box rebuilds, belt replacement and tensioning)
  • Hydraulic / Pneumatic system repairs (Rebuild pumps/cylinders, piping, running tube and pipe, making hoses)
  • PLC (A/B SLC 500, RS Logics, ladder diagrams, CompacLogix, Device Net)
  • Robotic (PM’s, homing, mastering, teach pendant)
  • Welding (mig, tig, stick, arc, plasma, cutting torch)
  • Fabrication (mill, lathe, ability to read prints)
  • Other (sweat copper, run pipe threader)
  • Safety (LO/TO, fall protection, fork lift operation, hot work, arc flash protection)
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office

 Our facilities have 4 teams working a 2-2-3 / 12-hour shift 

  • A & B Teams work days from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • C & D Teams work nights from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.  (Base plus 7% shift premium for night shift)

New Product Launch Engineering Manager

Job Description:

The New Product Launch Manager at Signicast is dynamic and highly motivated individual that has the ability to manage a group of highly skilled engineers and work with cross functional teams within Signicast and our customers. This person will work closely with Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing in order to exceed our customer’s expectations during new product launch and fuel future growth here at Signicast.

Role & Responsibilities -

  • Understand our customer/prospect markets and identify critical factors needed to close and successfully launch new parts.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams involving manufacturing, purchasing, engineering and sales to improve the overall launch process at Signicast.
  • Manage the New Product Engineering team meeting corporate goals and objectives.
    • Continuously improve the new product launch process at Signicast.
    • Identify risk factors to prevent or minimize potential impact for all stakeholders.
    • Develop a high performance culture within the New Product Launch Engineering group.
    • Improve all customer touch points during NPL process.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to improve lead generation and higher close rates.
  • Report bi-monthly status on new project pursuit and launch.
  • Interface with entire customer and prospect base effectively.
  • Show a commitment to self- improvement learning best practices in both new product launch and investment casting techniques.
  • Actively participate in R&D activities within Signicast.

Project (Manufacturing) Engineer

Job Description:  

We are looking for results driven individual, responsible for launching new products in a job shop type environment. A highly positive ‘we can do it’ approach required. This individual will manage projects from the design stage, all the way through shipping of quality production castings. Includes tooling, fixtures, gauging, production routings, schedules, dimensional approval, costs, profitability, and customer contact and correspondence.

What qualifications are we looking for:

  • 4 year Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree
  • 5 plus years of hands on experience
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Knowledge of continuous flow manufacturing principles and machining a plus

PC knowledge, including MS Office, 3D solid modeling (SolidCast), UniGraphics or ProE  Qualified candidates for the Foundry Project Engineer opening must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or related field of study.

This individual must possess the following personal traits: Results driven – desire to excel, high energy, positive approach - flexible, detail oriented, ability to handle a large volume of projects, and possess strong leadership skills.  In addition the Foundry Project Engineer will participate in foundry related process improvement projects, investigate and correct quality related issues, and train team members on the technical aspects of producing quality ferrous/stainless investment castings. The Foundry Project Engineer will be expected to interact with and make recommendations to management to resolve casting issues including alloy selection, design improvements, and post-cast process steps.
