What is investment casting?
Also known as the lost wax process, investment casting is actually one of the oldest manufacturing processes still used today. While investment casting was used to make jewelry by the Egyptians thousands of years ago, companies today rely on this process to create highly accurate, intricate shapes that can not be produced by normal manufacturing techniques. Also, any components comprised of metals that are hard to machine or fabricate are great candidates for investment casting.
